Beautiful Day !!!

Only my child !!

I had to write tonight because Cathryn did the funniest thing !!! Lately we have been having problems following direction and listening. I sometimes feel like she totally ignores me and I have thought many times"What am I doing wrong." Yes she is only three, but everyone knows that 3 is the new terrible 2's.

Well, tonight after asking MANY times for Cathryn to keep her little hoodie on, Shannon finally said," If you take it off again you are getting a spanking!"

Several minutes later Cathryn disappeared and then ran passed us, with NO Hoodie on... Shannon said, " OK you are getting a spanking." And Cathryn started saying No ! Daddy Please. He gave her a choice, Time out or a spanking. To our disbelief and utter shock Cathryn chose a spanking....

The highlight is right before Shannon put her over his knee, Cathryn looked up and said," Be very careful Daddy, very careful."

We about died and didn't know what to do. Shannon popped her three times and at the end Cathryn replied, "Good job Dad, Good job."

What is a parent to do? Like mother, like daughter. I think I am in for a long road ahead......

Cathryn's bible verse for Awanas is "Teach me, thy way, O Lord." Her version is "Teach me, my way, O baby." She is trying :o)

Christmas 2008

What a wonderful year we had !! Many blessings and surprises. Davis turned 7 and Cathryn is now 3.... New school for Davis, new house, new niece (Anna) and a new baby to come in June. I am overwhelmed by God's grace and goodness. We have a wonderful family and I couldn't imagine our life any different. Although there are days (lately) where I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown !!! I am sure that will come :o)

I'm not camera shy ....

Cathryn is never camera shy !! She loves to pick out her own clothes and pose... As you can see in these pictures she is wearing her own creation. The ensemble includes a grey knit dress with a black velvet jacket, leopard tights and princess high heels. The gold Christmas cone is also her "trumpet/microphone". Where she gets her fashion sense I will never know (hum NaNa).

Yeah for the new Washing Machine !!

Merry Christmas Too Me !!!

Who would have ever thought I would be sooo excited about getting a new washer and dryer !! They are wonderful and I am very thankful. This make doing laundry much more fun and enjoyable :o) Now if only I could invent a way to get the clothes folded and put away... My life would be complete !!
